SXSW 2010 / Thanks to Ihor Gowda who recommended that I just 'camp out' and shoot all the Bands at Stubbs on St Patrick's Day, my free nite as a SXSW Photographer. I did and was he ever so right! The Walkmen put on quite a Show and the night was starting to get even MORE Rocking with Sharon Jones following and Spoon closing it out....

SXSW 2010 / March 17th was my Free night during the festival, and I shot all the bands at Stubbs. This dynamite group from Brooklyn, NY not only had BIG SOUND it had EVERYTHING. Sharon Jones is a dynamo on stage and reminiscent of a female James Brown. WOW!

SXSW 2010 -- The closing act at Subbs on St Patrick's was Spoon (Britt Daniel and crew), who literally brought the house down. When you see their performance you fully understand why they've been featured on virtually every late-nite talk show, Saturday Nite Live and Austin City Limits. If you have a chance to catch their act--don't miss Spoon!

SXSW2010 / I shot all the bands at the Elephant Room, 03/18/10: Wouter Kellerman (South Africa), Vander Lee (Brazil), Natalia Mallo (Brazil), Sylvia Patricia (Brazil), and Pedro Moraes (Brazil). This was a very cool venue and the music made you wanna dance!

SXSW 2010 / On March 19th I shot 7 Bands at the Amsterdam Cafe: Dust Congress (Denton, TX), The Dolomites (Japan), The New Frontiers (Charlotte, NC), Boulder Acoustic Society (Boulder, CO), Fishtank Ensemble (Los Angeles, CA), Asylum Street Spankers (Austin, TX) and White Ghost Shivers (Austin, TX). All the bands were good, but if I had to pick a FAV, it would be Fishtank Ensemble with The New Frontiers a close 2nd and Kudos to White Ghost Shivers--if you're in Austin they're worth a night out.

SXSW 2010 - On Saturday March 20th I shot Comedy Nite at Esther's Follies--the Show was a HOOT with 17 Comedians giving it their all. Here's the line-up from L to R, Top to Bottom: Matt Braunger, Kyle Kinane, Howard Kremer, Scott Aukerman, Chelsea Peretti / Rod Delaney, Doug Benson, Ramin Nazer / Joe Mande, Tig Notaro, Ben Kronberg / Moshe Kasher, Mike Kaplan, Kurt Braunohler & Kristen Schaal (top), Jimmie Roulette (bottom), Dan Boulger and the famous Margaret Cho. It was indeed non-stop laughter for amost 5 hours!
